Surgical treatment of a cataract and glaucoma
in Department of a low-invasive ophthalmosurgery
of the Kiev Ophthalmology Clinic Microsurgery of eye Center
with application of the advanced equipment


        In 2002 in Kiev city clinical ophthalmologic hospital "Ophthalmology Clinic Microsurgery of eye Center" the Department of a low-invasive ophthalmosurgery (№ 33) has been organized.
        The purpose of work of Department is maintenance of surgical treatment of diseases of a forward piece of an eyeglobe at the highest modern technological level.

Tasks of Department:

• the surgical aftertreatment of patients with a pathology of a lens by means of a modern method of a phacoemulsification
• the surgical aftertreatment of patients with a glaucoma (a visco-canalostomy, a deep not punching scleroticectomy, a trabeculectomy in two stages on the Sergienko-Kondratenko)
• performance of the combined operations (a cataract + a glaucoma)
• performance of keratoplastic operations
• performance of refractive operations with use of the newest intraocular lenses - Acrysof ReSTOR (Alcon)
 

Are applied:

• surgical treatment of patients for 1 day
• examination on modern diagnostic equipment
• use of USA phacoemulsificators of new generation: Infinity (Alcon), Legacy 20000 (Alcon) and Millenium (Bausch&Lomb)
• the implantation of the IOL of leading world manufacturers - Alcon and Bausch&Lomb
• superfine viscoelastics - Provisс, Viscoat, Ocucoat, Celoftal
• disposable account materials (keratomas, napkins, phacocassettes, the microhandpieces, balanced solution BSS +, etc.)
• the regionar anaesthesia
• the medicaments made by leaders of a world farmaceutical industry
